Sag Basic Agreement 2011

Sag Basic Agreement 2011

This agreement also requires that residents be paid in accordance with the guidelines and subsequent tariff calculations of the basic agreement as soon as the remaining needs have been met and payment begins. When a company becomes a signatory, it accepts the working conditions of the professionals represented, protected and laudable under the basic contracts. This implies that under this special theatrical agreement, you can only hire SAG-AFTRA actors as main actors and that the first 57 actors hired must also be union members. If your production requires more than 57 background actors, the 58th attitude and beyond does not need to be together and therefore does not fall under the terms of the theater contract. If you plan to hire a lead or substantive actor (and you have not employed 57 other substantive actors) who is not yet a member of SAG-AFTRA, you will have 30 days from signing the contract to submit to your representative the corresponding Taft Hartley report, as well as a headshot and CV, in order to grant trade union status and comply with contractual rules. All categories are subject to the existing basic contract and the television contract. As part of the television contract, actors and background actors are insured for their work on shows that are signatories to the SAG-AFTRA television contract. Under the television agreement, there is a quota of 21 substantive actors, and for all non-unionized major players and 22. and more background productions, they should submit the corresponding Taft Hartley report with a headshot and resume. The guild secured the remaining payments to its members for the broadcast and broadcast of films, television programs and television spots through clauses of the SAG`s basic agreements with producers. Sag Principal members could not work on non-union productions. Basic trade union actors were not fully covered throughout the country and could work outside the back-up areas.

Among these bottom areas were the state of Hawaii, 4 zones in California, Las Vegas NV and a 300-mile radius around New York City. Many film schools have had SAG Student film agreements with the guild to allow sag actors to work on their projects. SAGIndie was established in 1997 to promote the use of sag actors; SAG also had low-budget contracts to encourage the use of SAG members for films produced outside the major studios and were to prevent film productions from leaving the country, known as “runaway production”.
