Program of the Congress will include plenary presentations of invited lecturers and submitted oral and poster presentations. The official language of the Congress is English, and all participants are kindly asked to prepare their posters and lectures in English.
Oral presentations
The plenary lecturers will have 30 minutes available for their presenation. The regular oral presentations will consist of 10 minutes talks, while discussion is reserved for the end of each session. Please be advised that presentations exceeding the time limit will be cut off by the moderators in the best interest of participants. Presentations should be prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint. All presentations should be available to the Congress technical service on CD-ROM/USB memory stick at least 15 minutes before each session.
Poster presentations
The posters should include the title, author’s and institution’s name.
The size of posters should not exceed the size of 90 x 120 cm (width x height); fixing material will be available. Handouts of posters are encouraged.
Abstract submission
Participants with presentations (in oral or poster forms) need to submit the abstract of the presentation not later than June 15th 2015. Abstract submissions must be submittd on-line using the Application Form available on http://www.prirodoslovni.com/6bbc. Reeipt of the Abstract will be confirmed. Please note that abstracts submitted after this date or in other manner will not be considered and will not be included in the Book of Abstracts.
In case of too many submissions for oral presentations, the Organising and Scientific Committee reserve the right to accept the contributions registered as oral presentations in the poster presentation form. The presenting author will be notified of the Committees’ decision in due course.
PUBLICATION OF PAPERS
The journal Acta Botanica Croatica welcomes manuscripts presented on 6th Balkan Botanical Congress. It is an Open Access International Journal published by the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia, two times yearly. The journal is cited in AGRICOLA, BIOSIS, CAB International, EBSCO Publishing, BIOBASE, Current Awareness in Plant Science, Scopus, Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Web of Science – Science Citation Index expanded, Zoological Records. 5-year IF = 0.484 (ISI Web of Knowledge, Journal Citation Reports).
Papers presented on 6th Balkan Botanical Congress should be prepared in English according to instructions to authors and submitted until September 30th, 2015. Only 15 manuscripts will be published. Submitted papers will be reviewed by two referees, active in the field the paper belongs to. The journal Hladnikia publishes original scientific papers and field notes as well as other contributions (comments, reviews of the botanical literature, reports) from the field of botany. Most of the contributions have a taxonomic and/or floristic scope, but papers focused on vegetation ecology and plant sociology are also regularly published. The geographic scope includes Slovenia and neighbouring countries. It is distributed to the members of Slovenian Botanical Society and to several institutions in Slovenia and abroad. It is also available on-line in pdf format, free of charge.
